“The American dream belongs to all of us.” - Kamala Harris
Our goal
As our cohort brainstormed our most predominant issues, we all came to one conclusion: immigration. Reflecting on why we chose to join AWAKE (Advocates of Women and Kids' Equality), we aimed to address this complex issue with empathy, highlighting the many misunderstandings surrounding the topic. Through both street interviews and one-on-one interviews, we've collected information and written articles that can be found on our very own website, dedicated to relieving not only the lack of media that humanizes both sides but also the misinformation about immigrants that polarizes our political landscape.
Driven by passion
We are committed to our social responsibility and strive to educate our community, inspiring meaningful change. Our goal is for everyone to feel welcome in Tennessee, and with each effort to learn about our neighbors, we move closer to that vision. In essence, we are Honoring our Migrants' Experiences (HOME).
I believe immigrant rights matter because behind every policy is a real person, family, and future.
